Wrap up
I really enjoyed this experience every week and being to learn so much. I liked the google reader site. I don't think I would have created a blog if not for work. It was a very worthwhile experience to learn about different sites and what is available. I would participate again and plan to continue to use the sites I have discovered. Thank you.
Web 2.0 Tools
I have looked at the site of award winners and realized how many much more there is still alot to learn.
Google Docs
I looked at the google docs and sent a couple of documents to people. I think this is a good way to gather information and also to send information. I am not sure I would use this tool alot right now. I will keep working on this site to see if I will be able to find a way to use it more.
Book sites
I joined the Good Reads Book site. It seems to be easy to use and a good way to be able to track the books you like and read. It seems a good tool to also use to recommend books to your friends.

Social Bookmarking
I looked through the del.icio.us site and went to the JPL account. I thought it would be useful if there was a website that was used frequently. There was some good interesting things in the tag for Readers Advisory. I am not sure I would need to use this site personally as I only revisit a few sites. It is always helpful to learn shortcuts in doing things though.

Podcasts
I looked at several of the Podcast sites. It was not difficult to search the sites. I did sign up for a NPR book broadcast to receive information on books. It is yet another way to have easy access to information. I really enjoy discovering all these great sites and tools to use to get all types of information.

RSS google reader
I found this has a very useful site. I added recipe sites, entertainment, news and weather sites, information about Joliet. I will probably use this site often as it will save time in the way I receive information. It was not difficult to subscribe to different sites and organize them in folders for easy access.

technology
Computer Technology what did we ever do without our computers. We actually talked to people, wrote checks to pay bills, wrote letters and used board games.
There are some great things computers have done for us. We can now keep in touch with so many more people quickly all over the world. We can now shop, play games, pay bills, watch videos, listen to music, go to school online, updated news and weather reports. It is an ever advancing fast paced world we are in. Some of the things that I think are lacking in direct communication face to face with a person or the contact and children not having the ability to keep themselves entertained without stuff.

wiki's
There was alot of different types of information to be discovered using Wiki. I was not sure about anyone being able to change a page but I liked that editing could be tracked and a very assessible tool for all types of information.
I really think it would be useful to use in the library for interaction with staff and news source for patrons and staff. It would be a good tool for books lists as patrons are always looking for a new author to read.
